The worktops are available in six beautiful shades, including both dark and light tones, allowing you to find the perfect match for your bathroom. Silestone® is ideal for the modern home, where aesthetics and durability are both essential.

Silestone in the Bathroom – Exclusive, Durable and Stylish

Silestone® is renowned for its luxurious appearance and is also a highly practical choice for bathrooms. The surface is smooth, dense and resistant to both dirt and moisture, making it easy to keep clean – even in a busy family household. The visual expression exudes calm, elegance and quality, and these attractive worktops are available in six different finishes. You’ll find light tones with subtle marble veining, as well as bolder, darker shades that provide a stylish, exclusive look. Whether you prefer classic white or marble-inspired patterns, Silestone® offers a material that not only looks luxurious but is also built to last.

What is Silestone and Why is it Ideal for Bathrooms?

Silestone® is an advanced composite material consisting of more than 90% natural quartz, resulting in an exceptionally strong and easy-to-clean surface. It is also a sustainable choice, produced with a minimum of 20% recycled materials and manufactured using modern methods that consider environmental impact and resource efficiency. Silestone® beautifully combines the aesthetic appeal of natural stone with the durability of contemporary materials – the perfect solution for bathrooms where humidity, limescale and daily wear demand more from every surface. It is non-porous and dense, meaning it won’t absorb moisture or grime and is safe to clean with standard cleaning products. These qualities make Silestone® a favourite among those seeking a bathroom that balances both form and function.

What is Silestone Made From?

Silestone® is made primarily of natural quartz – one of the hardest materials found in nature – combined with resins and pigments that result in an exceptionally strong and uniform product. The high quartz content ensures the surface is durable and easy to maintain, making it an excellent choice for bathroom worktops. In addition, Silestone® contains at least 20% recycled material, making it a more environmentally responsible option compared to many traditional surfaces. The six décor options available from Dansani allow you to choose a style that matches your space – from crisp white to marble-effect finishes. The result is a material that unites beauty, technology and sustainability in a single product.

How to Maintain Your Silestone Worktop

Silestone® requires minimal maintenance to stay looking its best. For daily cleaning, we recommend a soft cloth dampened with warm water and a small amount of soap or mild detergent. Wipe dry with a clean cloth to avoid streaks. For limescale build-up, you can use a standard limescale remover, but do not let the product sit for more than two minutes. Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents such as drain cleaner, bleach, acids, ammonia or abrasive products, as these may damage the surface. Scouring pads should also be avoided. Silestone® should not be exposed to water hotter than 70°C, as this can damage the material.

Is Silestone Heat Resistant?

Silestone® is heat-resistant for everyday use, but it does have its limits. The material should not be exposed to direct contact with extremely hot objects or water over 70°C, as this can cause surface damage. We therefore recommend avoiding pouring very hot water directly into the basin – especially for prolonged periods. If you're using a Silestone® worktop with an integrated basin, please note that its slim design requires cabinet support across the full width of the basin. However, the worktop can handle up to a 100 mm overhang without support. Silestone® is robust enough for everyday use, but it’s best to treat it with care when it comes to high temperatures. Always use common sense to preserve the look and integrity of your worktop for years to come.

What Does a Silestone Worktop Cost?

The cost of a Silestone® worktop depends on dimensions, size and installation. At Dansani, our worktops are available in both standard and bespoke sizes, meaning they can be tailored precisely to your bathroom layout. The price also depends on whether you need a basin and the specific width required. We recommend contacting your local dealer to configure your ideal solution and receive a specific quote. Whatever you choose, you’ll receive a premium-quality worktop that blends beautiful design with outstanding durability – a sound investment in both form and function.
