From an old carport to a cosy guest annex with a Bathroom. Discover how Kia transformed just a few square metres into a bright and functional holiday home Bathroom with space for both storage and everyday living.

At the holiday home "Hyggeriet", the family converted the old carport into the guest annex "Drømmeriet". With two bedrooms and a Bathroom, the annex serves as the family's own private retreat whenever the holiday home becomes the setting for cosy moments with family and friends.

A Bathroom Designed for Holiday Home Living

At Kia's holiday home "Hyggeriet", home to the Instagram profile @mitsommerhusprojekt, every square metre has been carefully considered. With a passion for interior design and an eye for the finer details, Kia has created a brand-new section in "Drømmeriet" featuring two bedrooms and a Bathroom. Here, functionality is combined with the calm and relaxing atmosphere that defines holiday home living.

Despite the limited space, the room feels both bright and spacious thanks to carefully selected materials and well-planned solutions that make the Bathroom both practical and welcoming.

From Carport to a Functional Bathroom of 2.4 m²

To make the best possible use of the holiday home plot and create a peaceful retreat whenever the whole family is together, Kia and her family decided to convert the old carport into the guest annex "Drømmeriet". Today, the annex includes two bedrooms and a Bathroom, giving the family their own private space to retreat to whenever the holiday home is full of guests.

Although the Bathroom measures just 2.4 m², it feels both bright and functional. Thanks to carefully planned solutions, clever storage options and a layout where every centimetre has been put to good use, the result is a Bathroom that meets all the demands of everyday life without compromising on the calm and cosy holiday home atmosphere.

Small Spaces Call for Smart Solutions

For Kia, it was important to make the most of the 2.4 m² without compromising either functionality or the room's calm appearance. That is why the shower area was fitted with a solution from the Dansani Match series, making it possible to tailor the shower solution to the size and layout of the room.

The selected folding shower door folds neatly back against the wall when not in use. This frees up floor space and makes the Bathroom feel more open and spacious – a major advantage when every square metre counts.

To make the very best use of the available space, the Bathroom also features the integrated Tower corner shelf from the Dansani Match series. It provides space for shampoo, soap and other everyday essentials, keeping them close at hand without taking up unnecessary space or creating clutter.

The timeless design also ensures that the solution is not only practical but blends perfectly with the aesthetic of the holiday home.

Space for Everything You Need

To create as much storage space as possible, Kia chose a 60 cm Dansani Luna Vanity Unit with two spacious drawers. The large drawers make it easy to keep everything organised, even in a compact space, while the sand matt finish creates a calm expression and complements the other design details perfectly.

The elegant Dansani Minore Basin is the perfect match for the Dansani Luna Vanity Unit. Its slim edge creates a light, minimalist look that perfectly completes the simple design.

The drawers in the Dansani Luna Vanity Unit are fitted with flexible inserts that help keep everything organised, from make-up and skincare products to hairbrushes and small accessories. A simple solution that creates a clear overview and makes it easy to keep the Bathroom tidy.
